When the production of this song starts up, you would never expect this song to quite end up in the lighthearted trap genre, but that’s exactly where we are. The music box-style tinkling melody really does fool you into thinking that this track will transition into being more poppy that does as, once the beat drops, you get just the right amount of darkness to make the overall sound work.
yourbeagle’s vocals are a solid fit for the song thanks to her cutesy soprano styling, but she still manages to put enough stank on the beat thanks to attitude and autotune to make this enjoyable. It is hard for someone with kind of sweetheart tone to make a song like this work, but she pulls it off. Of course, some of that might have to do with the fact that the song runs less than two minutes.
