Faith Evans – Faith 20

If you heard the original Faith from 1995 then you know what to expect; some of the best music from one of the most underrated voices in R&B.  What you may not expect is that, 20 years later, Faith Evans still has the pipes to sing these songs right.

Resinging and remixing all the tracks from her debut album, the only real difference that people who are familiar with the original might notice is that Evans’ voice is just a little lower than it was back when she debuted (which is to be expected).  This set proves the point that good music has a certain timeless quality as the remixing is far more subtle than you would think it would have to be to make the tracks sound modern.  It also proves just how close to her core that Evans has managed to stay; keeping her music sounding fresh but always maintaining her own style.
