This is an interesting turn of events.  Just a month after releasing her solo EP, Tiffany releases a standalone track that shows a little more serious side of the singer.

If there was anything that we could say about this track is that it has a lot of the same appeal and issues as her single, I Just Wanna Dance.  The eighties production and solid vocals are a definite plus and make the song something worth listening to; the just kind of “meh” overall feel of the song makes it something you wouldn’t necessarily seek out if you’re not already a fan.  The improvement seems to be with the lyrics, which tell a story and are well-crafted, and the inclusion of Simon Dominic from AOMG, who brings some much-need energy to the track.

It’s a step in the right direction, but we know Tiffany can bring it better than this, so we will wait for the next major release.

Don’t leave us again, pop!gasa; it would break our hearts…

Lyrics:
I see the end in your eyes
It endlessly shakes me, messes me up
Is it time to stop making things up?
Stop these painful emotions, I can’t breathe

As if everything’s been decided for us from the start
Our journey has ended, with tired faces
Can you predict what’ll happen next?
I’ll be gone
You can’t hurt me now

This is the heartbreak hotel
In this place that is left for me
I lay alone, forget you
Tears come but I forgive you
Today, I’m checking out
I wanna leave this place (heartbreak hotel)
No I ain’t gonna go
No I ain’t gonna go
Today, I’m checking out
I wanna leave this place (heartbreak hotel)

I remember those dreamy nights
It continuously shakes me up, it’s hard
This empty space, your packed up things
It shows how much we changed

As if we didn’t know anything from the start
We became like this, without expression, with an unfamiliar face
Can you predict what’ll happen next?
You’ll be gone
I can’t hurt you now

This is the heartbreak hotel
Even if I remember the false expectations you gave
I’ll forget you
In the end, I forgive you
Today, I’m checking out
I wanna leave this place (heartbreak hotel)
No I ain’t gonna go
No I ain’t gonna go
Today, I’m checking out
I wanna leave this place (heartbreak hotel)

I came here often
But it’s getting more frequent, the check-in
We won’t push the responsibility to each other anymore
It’s been a while since we’ve both grown indifferent
I never packed feelings that felt like baggage

It’s a good room to break up
feel like a penthouse suite
It’s more comfortable to sleep separately
Our hearts went from being one to twin
After we met our own mornings
The last meal is just room service

I’ll leave as I empty it all
Placing our memories in my new carrier
Will make it a bit heavy
You can hate me, I’ll be punished
After I escape from you, if you’re not ready yet
You can stay there a bit longer

Our relationship was tiring
Like jet lag that won’t go away
I wanna stop this long journey and go home
So my insomnia can be cured
I wanna sleep on my pillow
Go back 2 reality
I wanna wake up from the dream of you

I tried resenting you
But now it’s no use, right here
I tried resenting you
But it’s useless, right here
My love that I spilled to you
It was dazzling because it was you
I always wanted to tell you
Although it’s too late, right here

This is the heartbreak hotel
In this place that is left for me
I lay alone, forget you
Tears come but I forgive you
Today, I’m checking out
I wanna leave this place (heartbreak hotel)
No I ain’t gonna go
No I ain’t gonna go
Today, I’m checking out
I wanna leave this place (heartbreak hotel)
