Not to be confused with their hit Don’t Let Go (Love) from the Set It Off soundtrack, Don’t Go was that B-side single from Born To Sing encapsulates so much about what was and would be En Vogue in the coming years. Sophisticated beauty, strange as hell videos, lush harmonies, and dynamic lead vocals. It reminds you why Terry Ellis was the first to get a solo project, why things we’re quite the same when Dawn Robinson left, and why fans still pray for the originals to do something together one last time until this day.
The only thing we hate about this video is that it uses the radio version of the track and cuts out Ellis’ climb to those high notes. Exquisite.
