After the tragic deaths of members EunB and RiSe, I think anyone would be forgiven for thinking that we had heard the last of Ladies’ Code.  How wrong we were.

Pulling themselves together as a trio and doing an unforseen (but understandable) style change, the group has managed to lure back old fans and peak the interest of new ones with the jazzy Galaxy.

The vocals are rich and deep for only having three members and each vocalist manages to distinguish herself from the others through unique vocal tones.  The production is almost flawless, ebbing and flowing with energy and then with mellow mood.  The lyrics are poetic but not inaccessible as they can describe both meeting someone who throws off your center of gravity or the remaining member speaking to their departed bandmates in the hereafter.

The biggest complaint we have is, towards the end of the song, something in the sound layer feels like it goes awry and the drumbeat syncopates.  It doesn’t ruin the song by any means (mostly because it almost unnoticeable due to the short duration and variations in audio setups), but it can throw some listeners off.

pop!gasa is the center of our galaxy…
