We weren’t feeling Whoo, but Rainbow’s comeback EP has a lot more to offer than the underwhelming title track.

One of our favorites from the new set is Eye Contact, which has the ladies being some kind of sidechick shady as they approach a man that they know belongs to someone else.  Vocally, as is sometimes a thing with the larger kpop girl groups, the harmonies aren’t as lush as they could be considering the numbers involved.  What there is sounds good, but you long for some better harmonies.  The lyrics are straight to the point and really get the point across that the members are being temptresses to the man in question.  The production is smooth without going overboard on the sexy, making the propositions in the song feel more spur of the moment than plotting.  It also has a hint of classic 90’s kpop in the bright notes in the bridges.

It’s a surprisingly good track that makes you hit repeat before you realize it.

Lyrics:
Looking you who’s boring, I think the problem is her
I knew it in short time
Looking at me with your eyes, it drags me into you either
I know what you want boy

It’s a problem. What should I do
You are owned by someone else, but I don’t dislike it
Just like a child who’s finished studying before the exam day,
I’m in hurry. I want your answer

Don’t melt down quickly I need time
When our eyes met….

In day time, be soft, at night
Be bold
Take me anywhere without letting her know
It’s okay to express something roughly
Let me hear you breathing

I’m a problem too. I want so much
Just like I want you either
I can’t help but trying to reach you
I know what you want boy

When our eyes met, I got hit by your eyes
Trying to Breathe, but I’m nervous so I hardly breathe
You are bad for my heart who seems to be sweet
Today, I’m suffering from myself

Don’t melt down quickly I need time
When our eyes met….

In day time, be soft, at night
Be bold
Take me anywhere without letting her know
It’s okay to express something roughly
Let me hear you breathing

Secret eye contact from you. I know what you mean
That little gesture, let me see all of it
Whisper it to my ears that you want me either
Call my name
It’s okay to express something roughly
Let me hear you breathing

She’s the problem and I am too
