While this may be the first time that you’ve ever heard of Cash Campain, the truth is that he has been a prolific artists for quite some time now. Just search his name on DatPiff if you want check out the pretty sizable number of mixtape that carry his name.
His latest, while short, is meant to be an ode to the R&B genre as well as a demonstration as to why it will never really die. The production for all but one of the tracks are slow jams with different feels, but are more likely to put you in the mood than put you to sleep. The biggest departure is Pandora Station, PT III, which is faster and has a different, more brash attitude than the previous tracks.
The vocals are a smooth tenor and meet the requirement for making a slow jam seductive. While the lyrics could definitely put some listeners off with their more street feel at times, it’s not so much that you can’t find a track to like. Worth a download.
