BoA – Shattered

Despite this album not taking the number one spot like with most of her other comebacks, Kiss My Lips was still a seminal release for the woman who is still the reigning queen of Kpop.

Her eighth album showed a more adult BoA in many spots and nowhere is that more apparent than on the darkly catchy Shattered.  Sounding like synth-rock, the singer’s voice a perfect fit for the production.  Giving perfect delivery for a song about a conflicted lover, it was obvious that the songstress has not lost her flair for this kind of track.  A standout on a strong album, we couldn’t let the year pass without acknowledging this one.
