Our new submitter brings us something different–black metal.

While our site tends to focus on a diverse set of artists in hip-hop, R&B, and pop, we do listen to other types of music.  Dybbuk brings us instrumental black metal and, we have to say, we like it.  Taking on all aspects of production and instrumental himself, the metalhead shows his talent by making something intriguing.  The strong, almost speed-metal guitar is what draws in the ear and frees the senses.

Because it is a genre that uses sonic dissonance as a way of conveying emotion and meaning, it can be a hard subgenre for many to get into.  Personally, we find that the chaotic sounds can be a great outlet for aggression and confusion when you need it most.  There is also the lack of a lyrical content impediment here that can turn away people who don’t gel with the mindset behind it.  It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it will strike a chord with some.
