Queen T coming through!

We always love some Yoonmirae bars, so we love that she decided no only to give us a new track but to make it a lot more hype than some of her more recent releases.

Over a bombastic beat, the rapper relates the symbols of the child’s hand game to the images of peace, power, and joy when expressed through familiar hand gestures.  It’s an interesting take that, I have to admit, I don’t think anyone has ever done before.  You would think the connection would be obvious, but that’s just a function of Yoonmirae being so good at her craft.

Her flow is excellent.  She has such confidence in her bars and never lets up on letting you know that she can hang just as well with her male counterparts as anyone with her wordplay and style.  She switches things up from time to time while keeping the core pace flawlessly and there is an edge to her delivery that works well with the production.  We also recognize her vocals on the chorus and they are a good match for the rest.

Given the subject matter of this track, we find it interesting that it was dropped just a few days before the historic peace accord between North and South Korea.  While this track could just be a general wish for the good fortunes and peace of mind of everyone, we have to wonder if events in-country may have had some inspiration in the theme as well.

There are lyrics in the video if you hit the [CC] button, we found that they missed some of the wordplay so we included the pop!gasa translation as well.

Lyrics:
Peace, I’m a scissor, I’m all for peace
But if you rashly come at me, I’ll peacefully lay you down
Rock, raise our fists up, fists above the head
You undermine me cuz I’m a woman, I Mother Nature beat ya
Paper! Fan your hands, up and down
Now I’m gonna steal all the applause, terror
No need to hide it, awaken your locked up voices
Peace, I’m a scissor, cutting away the pain
Healing with this boom bap, comforting sad souls
Music is the medicine for all sickness, place your doubts behind
Gather your hands and pray, pray for everyone’s fortunes
Instead of a fist, let’s shake hands, now everybody clap

Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors
Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors

Raise up the peace signs, two fingers, a sign of peace
Like taking pix with your friends on vacation
Raise em up, vic victory sign
But if you come at me, my hands are scissors
Good bye paper better choose ya weapon wisely
Fists, our Power, throw em up above your heads
No need to use it, won’t ever throw it
It’s our connection, our hearts are one

The voices of the silenced and the weak
Paper, fan your hands up and down
Gather your hands and pray, pray for everyone’s fortunes
Instead of a fist, let’s shake hands, now everybody clap

Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors
Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors

Peace, I’m a scissor, I’m all for peace
Fists, our Power, throw em up above your heads
Paper, fan your hands up and down
Gather your hands and pray, pray for everyone’s fortunes

Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors
Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors
Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors
Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
can you Google Map if you don’t know where Seoul at?
