With a visual that feels like a cross between Fiona Apple’s Criminal and female comradery parts of Boys on the Side, SZA and Dave Meyers bring her Drew Barrymore track to life.

SZA has said that she imagined this song being in one of those 90’s movies like Never Been Kissed or She’s ALl That and you can see hear why.  There is an element of that kind of alternative pop sound that was popular during that time.  The visual brings in elements of that style as well with the set pieces that show the quirky side of the protagonist (SZA) as well as how she relates to her peers (the party scenes).

Oh yeah…and Drew Barrymore makes a brief appearance, too.
