We waited a couple of days to see if they would get a video, but it’s not going to happen.

The Wonder Girls are no more; the group has disbanded and the members are going to be divided between at least two different agencies (Yubin and Lim are staying at JYPE; Yenny and Sunmi are going elsewhere).  When it was announced that they would be dropping their final single on their 10th anniversary, fans geared up for something that was heartbreaking

The song is sweet and sad, having the ladies sing about a bygone relationship that they cherish but can no longer be.  It will dredge up the tears of many of their fans as it could easily be read as the ladies singing about the now bygone relationship between them and their fans (and, possibly, the former members who moved on earlier).  The tone they strike is sincere and somber, but not so depressing that you can never listen to it again.  The harmonies are surprisingly minimal here as it sounds like the full group isn’t coming in on ever bar when they start.  The effect is haunting, always making it feel like something is missing.

Sidenote: I have loved the Wonder Girls since So Hot and have been with them through the WonderBang era and all the changes.  It breaks our hearts to see them go, but we understand that time moves on and so must they.  Good luck, ladies.

Lyrics:
It’s already that season
When I first saw you
When we filled up the new and white canvas
With everything about each other

Take out and bring me the us of back then
The warm spring days
When we wanted each other so bad

Draw me the days that were young and innocent
Even if it’s just sometimes
With your hands that used to embrace me
Draw me and just a little bit, miss me
Every day, I draw hundreds of you

Inside countless drawings
There are stories of you and me
Let’s not forget those moments
Let’s remember
The colors that colored us
Are only getting thicker
It will never fade
light and shade

Cause I’ll paint us everyday
It’s still so clear
The song you sang for me
Your voice is faraway
But the memories are full
Draw me a beautiful masterpiece
In your atelier

Take out and bring me the us of back then
When we wanted each other so bad
If only we could turn things back

Draw me the days that were young and innocent
Even if it’s just sometimes
With your hands that used to embrace me
Draw me and just a little bit, miss me
Every day, I draw hundreds of you

Every day, I still draw you
Every day, I still

Draw me the days that were young and innocent
Even if it’s just sometimes
With your hands that used to embrace me
Draw me and just a little bit, miss me
Every day, I draw hundreds of you
