Yeah…we’ve been waiting on the translation to throw this one up.

To say that this is not what I was expecting from Mino, considering the auditory direction that Winner tends to take, is an understatement.  I truly was expecting some backpack rap with resonance that dropped a little knowledge about some of the ill of Korean society…

And while that would have been dope, this is pretty dope, too.

Over a bombastic yet seductive beat, Mino goes in about how he misses his sexy lady and just wishes she was there to give ALL his love to.  The production of this track is a great balance of two elements, with the horns blaring short put poignant stings in select sections and quieter synth instrumental shifting from main melody to backing elements.  Mino’s voice isn’t as gruff as Bobby’s or Suga’s, but he does know how to control his tone and balance the singing elements with a more casual flow to make his delivery just as honest and hard to the ear.

Reading the lyrics in English reveals a track that is really short on the metaphor, but not quite as explicit as an Aquaman.  This really wouldn’t stand out in an American market, but Korean mores and idol rapper expectations are an entirely different animal and this pushes the envelope pretty far in the regard.

Biggest niggle?  The song just seems to end and not necessarily in a good place.  You feel like there’s more to the track after the fadeout.  The possibility of that is somewhat high considering the direction the song goes in and what label this is on, but it doesn’t hurt the track too much.  I am more than interested to hear an EP or full album from Mino in the near future.

Sidenote: There is, apparently, a 19+ version of the video.  Want…

pop!gasa…sorry guys, we can’t get THIS hot over you…

Lyrics:
I miss your body
The tickling sound of your breath
I remember it faintly
I can’t feel you

I miss your body
Your shiny hair
I remember it faintly
So where are you

Oh god
I miss you
Though it might be a different way
I’m borrowing the power of alcohol
I might call you by mistake
I don’t know, my judgement is
Fading fading fading
unconsciously, in the empty air
I’m drawing drawing drawing you
I must be crazy

No need for apologies1
We’re not Adam and Eve
In America, they say it’s better to be cool
you nah mean?
I remember your body body body
Your perfect proportions
Were almost a lie lie lie

I’m talkin’ about your body
Talkin’ about your legs
Talkin’ about your lips
Talkin’ about your
From your head to your toes
OH I’m talkin’ about your body
Talkin’ about your everything
But where are you?

I miss your body
The tickling sound of your breath
I remember it faintly
I can’t feel you

I miss your body
Your shiny hair
I remember it faintly
So where are you

We were beautiful
We had such good chemistry
I miss you again
Your tattoo on your waist
I still have it in my studio
The bed back then
Come over if you’re tired, just sleep over
I got everything you need

I’m dying cuz of you, you’re a killer
My conscious is scolding, poking me
My friends call you my ex
But I wanna pronounce it in a sexier way

I’m talkin’ about your body
Talkin’ about your legs
Talkin’ about your lips
Talkin’ about your
From your head to your toes
OH I’m talkin’ about your body
Talkin’ about your everything
But where are you?

I miss your body
The tickling sound of your breath
I remember it faintly
I can’t feel you

I miss your body
Your shiny hair
I remember it faintly
So where are you
Bawling on your body
Bawling on your body
Till we pass out
We make a story
