As we finish up our Prince playlist to honor the late singer, D’Angelo gives his own stirring tribute.  On a heart-wrenching version of Sometimes It Snows In April, the singer shows full emotion and gives the track the respect it deserves by maintaining the original artist’s intent (essential so soon after his death) while still being able to make his own mark on it.  It is especially moving when, towards the end, D’Angelo can’t hold it together and has to pause to get his emotions in check.

This is probably the best tribute to the Royal Purple One so far, so make sure you check it out.
