If you’ve heard the original version of this track by Bryson Tiller then you know that it is a somewhat repentant plea from a man to a woman whom he still loves and is desperate to reunite with.  The version by Jay Love doesn’t change the meaning of the song as much as it puts that meaning into his own words.  The biggest difference might be that Love makes it sound like she has moved on to another man who treats her just as badly as he did.  It’s an interesting take on the  same song and shows why an artist’s individual point of view matters.
