SWV is back and they sound as good as ever.

Keeping with the sound that has served them well over the years (including on their underrated 2012 comeback, I Missed Us), the ladies sing about the wonderful men in their lives and how they wouldn’t trade them for anyone else.  Starting off with Taj laying down her luscious vocals before Coko takes over, the ladies sound strong and confident as while their voices have changed some, their ability to deliver a good performance hasn’t.  The production, while providing a good atmosphere overall , is a little overdone on the chorus with the prominent, rolling drums.  The lyrics are simple but honest and can speak to a grown-up sensibility about love and emotional commitment.

This is the first single from the trio’s as-yet-unnamed upcoming album, due out October 30.  Click the shopping cart in the player to purchase this track.
