While we really liked his last comeback, Wheesung didn’t manage to hit his entire fanbase with his sound.  So, this time, he’s taking it back to what we have loved him for and reintroducing his nickname to a new audience.

Longtime fans night notice a similarity between this track and his debut track, With Me.  With the exception of him depending more on his falsetto more for this one, it does follow the formula for that song pretty closely.  The smooth R&B vocals, the rap verse, the breakdown.  In some ways, this could be seen as a “return to roots” moment for the artist but, with a few exceptions, Wheesung has never really strayed too far from this model and it suits him fairly well.

The production of the track is very sensual, but manages to keep from tumbling over the line into generically so.  There is enough diversity in the underlying elements to keep the listener engaged but no so much that it overreaches and kills the mood it was trying to set.  It manages to make itself heard in terms of being a standalone entity without giving up its support role for the singer.

And the singer does not waste his opportunity.  This is one of things that we love about Wheesung; he knows how to control his tone.  He has a big voice and knows how to lay it out there in terms of adlibs to really show out.  He takes the more subtly route this time, though, and it fits the track perfectly.  You feel like he’s whispering in your ear and making a play for you in a club.

And, given the nature of the lyrics, that works, too.  The songs is amazingly sexual in its innuendo, although we realize that, culturally, that may not be the case for every line.  They’re not necessarily anything we haven’t heard before, but there are some solid lines here and we like the overall tone and progression.

If there is one disappointment we have it’s that this is only a single this time around.  We would have loved to get an entire album of babymakers from Mr. RealSlow and this just means he really has to come with the fire next time to make us happy.

Lyrics:
Heart pounding at the blooming scent
In front of me, it’s colorful and dizzy
I’m drunk with the scent that comes from you
I swallowed it up and laid down
As I watched the flower bloom and wither thousands of times

Feels like I’m looking at a light that doesn’t exist in reality
I feel your eyes that aim for my heart

I burned you up and there’s a devilish smoke aroma
Makes me see myself going crazy
I burned you up and there’s a magical smoke aroma
I keep wanting to be sucked inside of you

Who am I? Where am I?
The scent around my nose makes everything blurry
I’m drunk with the scent that comes from you
I swallowed it up and laid down
Enjoying this sense of shame as if I’m naked

Feels like I’m looking at a light that doesn’t exist in reality
I feel your eyes that aim for my heart

I burned you up and there’s a devilish smoke aroma
Makes me see myself going crazy
I burned you up and there’s a magical smoke aroma
I keep wanting to be sucked inside of you

Yeah It feels like perfume
I wanna spray you on my wrist, neck, everywhere
Neon signs as bright as your clothes in between buildings
The mirror over there is a bit dangerous
I need to scoop out your foam
Yeah It feels like Aroma
Like Gogh and Picasso’s art
I’m drinking your scent
Um It smells like w Oops
The world I look at with you is a mess
So I’m burning you up and you give off a scent like incense

I burned you up and there’s a devilish smoke aroma
Makes me see myself going crazy
I burned you up and there’s a magical smoke aroma
I keep wanting to be sucked inside of you

lt feels like aroma
lt feels like aroma

It feels like Swan
It feels like Slow
This feeling I’m feeling with you
It feels like that
It’s like

lt feels like aroma
lt feels like aroma

It feels like Sean
It feels like Slow
Let’s swing on that chandelier
Now It feels like that So It’s like
