eSNa is one of those artists that is always underrated.  She has a seductive voice, but she also has the little bit of sass that just elevates her from just a generic singer with a good voice to something more.  She has teamed up with Mamamoo, Mad Clown, Flowsik, and 2AM’s Seulong, but just can’t seem to get a foothold for herself in the Korean Music industry.

We doubt that her new single will change things, especially for those who need a song with a driving beat to get into it, but it builds on a strong catalogue.  The mellow, acoustic jazz track belies the meaning of its words as she tells the man that she once loved to move on since he isn’t able to give her the love she wants.  The song never ramps up and stays at a level that never makes it sound mean, but you still get the point pretty clearly.  In fact, the vocal delivery makes her seem completely fed up.

The mature sound isn’t for everyone, but it’s a good one nonetheless.

We can never say no thanks to pop!gasa‘s translations…

Lyrics:
Don’t tell me those things
You don’t know what I want
Don’t tell clumsy lies
Open your heart widely instead

What time is it right now?
I need to hurry and go back
But you’re so persistent
Sorry but this is it for today

no thanks ma buddy okay
no thanks ma buddy okay
no thanks ma buddy okay
Take your eyes off me and look somewhere else

You’re still lingering next to me
You look so pathetic
Will the time be right?
Soon the sun will come up
But you’re still looking at me

What time is it right now?
I need to hurry and go back
But you’re so persistent
Sorry but this is it for today

no thanks ma buddy okay
no thanks ma buddy okay
no thanks ma buddy okay
Take your eyes off me and look somewhere else

If you come at me too quickly
My heart will be shocked
So slow it down a little
Hold onto me, don’t let me go

no thanks ma buddy okay
no thanks ma buddy okay
no thanks ma buddy okay
Take your eyes off me and look somewhere else
