Usually when we get this type of song with the sentiment of how good a man is about to put it down for his lady in the bedroom, it comes more from a place of bragging.  For Lamont Sincere’s Above & Beyond, it seems to come more from a place of love.  The singer seems to be setting the scene more than anything and letting his lover know that they both will have the night of their lives because they are investing in one another as well as the act itself.  It’s usually something you hear from female singers, but the theme is very seductive when coming from a male perspective.

The production of the track has good energy despite the slow pace thanks to the strategic use of drums, and popping synth.  Sincere’s vocals are mellow and alluring with their own energy that adds to the feel of the track.  The lyrics are straightforward (without being crass) and sincere; something that a lot of women want from a love song.  This track has a lot of potential and so does the singer.
