Last year, Emanny gave us his first pay EP with Songs About HER 2, the continuation of a series of emotionally resonate EPs that seem to center around the interactions of a single relationship.  This time he comes with Ms. 4:00am, an EP named after (and including) the full version of a snippet that was included on his 2011 Songs About HER sampler.

As always, Emanny brings the vocals and the sensual/sexual atmosphere, but the style and feeling might take longtime fans back to his Road To The Highlife freelease as the singer seems to have gone back to a core that he never left but simple evolved on.  The production for every track evokes the right atmosphere for the lyrics which, will fairly straight to the point, never become boring or get so out of pocket that it breaks the mood.  While not as strong (understandably) as Songs About HER 2, this is a nice gift to longtime fans of the singer and could serve as good introduction for those who aren’t aware of him yet.
