With her debut album in the works, British singer Anne-Marie drops her first new single after her EP Karate and it’s vibe is nice.  Over an up-tempo, pseudo hip-hop beat, the singer lets her man know that he belongs to her and that if they’re going to pursue a relationship, there will be no half-measures.  Anne-Marie’s voice has that interesting smoky quality that is smoothed out some by her British accent (at least, to these American ears).  The combination of her voice with the beatwork really makes you listen to what she’s saying.  The lyrics, while have an across-the-pond flair, are pretty common for this type of song but make sense and don’t slip too far into cliché.  Not a bad song that is likely to serve as her introduction to a larger audience.
