Harrison Sands has a woman with a Cheshire Cat smile and he just loves it. In a style that he calls glitch pop (which combines indie, hip-hop, and pop influences), he sings about how his love has captivated him. Sands’ vocals have an edge to the that, despite how we just phrased it, sounds good as it adds a roughness to the tenor that intrigues the ear. The Nomad production, contrary to sounding glitchy, reminds us of brighter alternative R&B tracks with its smoother undertones and ethereal melodies. The song is lyrically solid as well, constantly referring back to his lady’s smile as he goes on to talk about all the ways that he would love to spend time with her.
