Our new submitter is a talented producer who, we have to say, has a nice breadth of styles under her belt even though she considers herself to be primarily hip-hop.  Seneca B’s Rascal is a strong collection of tracks that sample hip-hop (which sounds like they come primarily from the 80s and 90s) to enhance the mood to her already strong instrumentality.  Each track has a distinct feel but still has a cohesive style that links it all together.  One of our favorites is Beef, which has two different styles layered over each other and sounds like they are fighting with each other.  There are only two tracks that have full rhymes to them, but you don’t really miss them.

It makes us happy that this 19-year-old Bostonian would bless our ears with her art.
