In an era where it seems like mainstream hip-hop is almost nothing but materialism and affluenza, you get an urge to reach back a little and find a time in the not so distant past when being socially conscious was still expected to some degree.  While most point to Public Enemy as the militant black power rappers of the 90’s, X Clan had similar messages taken from the point of the emcee (Brother J) and the poet (Professor X) who were members of the Blackwatch movement.  While they had many tracks that will have you raising your fist with pride, Fire & Earth was the one that struck a chord with so many.
