When Bobby V released #PBJ a few weeks ago, we didn’t do a post on it because it just wasn’t that good, especially considering it was the first we’d heard from the singer since his incredible Peach Moon EP.  His new track, though, returns to form with strong lyrics and good vocals.  About a the ending of the type of toxic relationship where you can’t wait to say goodbye, Bobby borrows a little from a track with a similar them by Usher and tells the woman in question she doesn’t have to call.  The slower production on a track entitled Turnt Up is an interesting choice, but it works in this instance as it makes his words sound less rash and more deliberate.

We have a feeling that the leaking tracks signal an upcoming mixtape similar to Vitamin V and V-Day, but only time will tell.
