For nearly seven minutes, Preston Harris sets the mood (along with some excellent production from Hit-Boy) for love. For the first 3:11, the HS87 member convinces a brokenhearted girl to take the chance of giving him a chance. The production has that Hit-Boy swag, but is more minimal that what we’ve sometimes come to expect from the label head. It’s at the 3:12 mark that things really heat up. Sounding almost like someone switched tracks on an iPod for moment, the production slows ever so slightly and goes down an octave (as do Harris vocals). Harris handles this song like an expect with well-placed runs and his tone deceptively sexy. A perfect track for the run-up to Valentine’s Day.
Harris is expected to release his Love Crazy EP sometime in February.
