Stacy Barthe has written for the likes of Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and Britney Spears, but she has had a little trouble getting the same attention she gets others for herself.  Maybe that is about to change when she releases her debut album, BEcoming, next year.  In the meantime, she has given us an album sampler to whet our appetites.  You can hear the sound that she has allowed others to borrow from her all through out the snippets and three full tracks.  Very introspective, there are songs about love, loss, and empowerment that are a joy to listen to and will make you angry that most are incomplete.

You can download the tracks individually through the player or in a single package through the button below.

A N G E L is a remake of the Anita Baker classic with a more updated, jazzy production behind it.  Very few singers have been able to do this song justice.  We can add Barthe to that list.

On Extraordinary Love is a track about the type of love that seems like it comes out of nowhere and becomes something that’s impossible to let go of.  The ballad has a lovely sound and Barthe’s vocals fit it so well that, if this song was meant to go to someone else, I couldn’t imagine them doing a better job than she has.
