Loick Essien might be best known for his contribution to Chipmunk’s Beast back in 2008 and his mixtape, I.D., in 2012.  The fact that his career sometimes seems to be in limbo might be the inspiration for his latest track.  Lamenting that nobody has helped and the he has no one before pleading for help, this banger of a track has a lot of duality in it.  While it seems like it might come from a dark place, there is also a triumphant feel to it.  There is a yearning for help and pride of coming so far alone.  He also links that feeling to the people in his life that meant something to him but then betrayed him.  This is a surprisingly complex track.
