While the reviews of DJ Khaled’s new compilation set, I Changed A Lot, have been mixed, the remix of Hold You Down on the deluxe version is pretty solid.  Featuring Usher on lead vocals instead of Chris Brown sets a different tone.  The original track was more a sexual exploration and satisfaction; the remix is about how appreciative these men are of the women in their lives who want more than just their money.  Every rapper does well with their verse, but it’s Rick Ross who stands out for all the right reasons as he does a verse that actually fits in with the theme of the track (although he still manages to talk about his money).  Ace Hood’s verse is probably the most out of place as it centers less on a strong relationship as much as it does two people who have an understanding, but it still manages to get keep with the tone around the edges.

It’s a pretty good track and worth the price if you can find a place to purchase it.
