After going through some serious personal issues involving her health, Felicia Temple returns good as new with the slow burner, Own It.

 Bedroom Chronicles, the singer took us through the ups and downs of love.  This time around, all she is letting us know is that she is going to give the good loving because her man gives it to her.  The track’s production is relatively simple; an omnipresent, almost monotones organ-eque undertone topped with a repeating whistle melody and staggered drums.  The focus of the track is Temple’s vocals and she sells the sexy.  She does a great job of getting the sensuous tone right by dialing back on the power without going breathy.  And while the rhythm she uses sounds like Drake’s flow, this isn’t a remake of his Nothing Was The Same title track.  The lyrics, while nothing new, get right to the point (sometime explicitly), but she sells it in such a way that you don’t really notice when things get more adult, making it sound like the natural progression of the mood and fitting perfectly with the song overall.
