While we wait for his album, In My Mind, BJ The Chicago Kid teams up with OG Maco for a track that allows him to brag about how good life is for him right now and put it out there that he’s in the market for a woman who isn’t going to be so easily impressed by that.
While this isn’t the strongest track lyrically that The Chicago Kid has put out in the recent months, there is something infectious about it. OG Maco, while taking away from the vibe a little with the heavy autotune and off-key singing, has a short verse. The Chicago Kid hovers in that weird not-quite-singing, not-quite-rapping area that has become popular, but he still gives his vocals some personality. The production is the real star on this one, giving a nice old school bump to the speakers and making the listener nod their head.
While it’s not a great track for repeated listens, it is a pretty good one for outdoor summer activities and riding out on a cool night.
