Taking a lyrical and production sample from Patti LaBelle’s If Only You Knew, Tank takes us on another smooth R&B ride on You Don’t Know.  The track starts off in the throwback mode before transitioning into a more modern-sounding song that shows how much the singer knows how to use the power of his voice.  While it’s not anything new on the lyrical front, it gets his point across.  Wale, especially, does a good job with his verse and manages to really bring things home.  Tank’s vocals are sensual and strong and a nice match for the lowkey production with its stuttering rhythms and drawn-out bass.  The track has a familiar flow to it and we wouldn’t be surprised if Chris Brown had something to do with the writing of the track, especially since he is rumored to featured on the album.

This will be featured on Sex, Love & Pain 2, which is expected out later this year.  The single will be purchaseable August 21.
