Including her single Sexy Us, Mélat delivers what could be her strongest EP yet. Anyone who has followed her career to this point will notice that her vocals have vastly improved from 2012’s Canon Aphaea. She still maintains her sweet tones when she needs to, but she exhibits better vocal control that allows her to give a more emotional performance. Her choices in production have also improved so that tracks, while more pleasing a broader audience, still have the essence of her personality in them. The thing that has remained constant (and that’s a good thing) is her lyrical quality which is accessible by all listeners but have deeper meanings than just what you might catch on the surface.
In the end, this freelease is imminently enjoyable and has you from the first note to the last chord.
