Sometimes it’s hard to take the honesty of someone at face value when things feel so real.  Kay Cola has found herself brokenhearted because she fell too deeply for a guy that said he wasn’t in it for the long haul.

The production of this project has a trippy undertone that feels like drifting through a dreamland.  Kay Cola’s vocals are simple in their delivery, but it works with the active beatwork so that the listener isn’t overwhelmed.  The lyrics are simple but strong and appropriate to the emotion of the track.  The only downside is that, first, the last minute of the song is essentially an instrumental and, two, it stops abruptly.  Now, it seems to us, that this is supposed to lead directly into the next track on the project but it gives a weird effect when it’s standing on its own.

This is the first single from her upcoming project, For The Dreamers.  It appears to be an extension of her unreleased EP, Nightmares and Lucid Dreams.
