We’re new to the world of BOSCO, so we’ll let the artist introduce herself.
“BOSCO is a force of nature. This Atlanta-bred singer/songwriter pulls from the rawest, headiest elements of R&B, dance and beyond, wrapping it all up with a relentlessly physical live show and iconic personal style. It’s an electrifying approach that has made her a muse for music and fashion tastemakers alike. Now, following a streak of underground favorites (including Slippin from the Solange-curated Saint Heron compilation and the house-y Treasure Fingers collaboration Names), BOSCO makes her proper Fool’s Gold debut with the brand-new BOY EP.”
As for the track, the dark, alt. R&B production is a nice match for the soft vocals the singer gives. While she sounds like a mixture of Jhené Aiko and Tinashe, she doesn’t sound unoriginal. This song about a cheating lover gives a mixture of strong, imagery-filled lyrics that make it sound like poetry but is still accessible so that the listener doesn’t feel lost. Jace adds a strong verse as the cheating man who is trying to convince her that she’s crazy.
