Two unreleased tracks by Nicole Scherzinger have surfaced and, while they aren’t the strongest tracks, we don’t understand why there wasn’t an effort to tweak them for release.
The first track, Freak, reminded us of another unreleased track of hers, Steam, that was also about releasing inhibitions. The production has that EDM/pop mesh sound that she has favored since splitting with The Pussycat Dolls. We figured that the track was dropped because the lyrics are not as strong as a lot of her music.
Wild Dream, which sounds a little like a leftover Pussycat Dolls song, has Scherzinger entrancing a man with the idea that she will be his fantasy. While we figure the production of the track is why she hasn’t released it, it is definitely the better of the two tracks with a more memorable sound that will infect your ears and have you singing it after one listen.
The vocals on both tracks are strong with both having Scherzinger showing off the pipes that have made her an irresistible musical commodity since the WB’s Pop Stars.
