The first single from Monica’s Code Red has dropped and we’re a little on the fence about it.  Do Me Like That has a nice, bass-heavy production that will have you ready to move.  Monica’s vocals are strong and full of attitude, perfectly matching the subject matter of the song.  Yo Gotti and Jeezy add nice energy with their verses (even if they don’t stay on topic).  The problem is that, when they come together, none of it seems to mesh.  The rappers seem more at home of the beat than Monica does and there just seems to be an overall disconnect between the production and the vocals.  We don’t hate the song; we just want it to get a remix.
