Rapper Courtlin Jabrae is anti unnecessary drama on his new track. Starting off with some strong vocals from Lisa LoneWolf declaring that they are too old for the teenage games, it transitions into a strong, lyrical track about being open and honest about the goings-on in a relationship. He admits that he tells her everything, even stuff that may not matter, to keep something from escalating and she seems to be keeping major secrets. The slow production is a nice match for the speedy delivery of Jabrae’s bars. The ending speech, which sounds like it could be spoken by anyone’s mother or grandmother, is about what it takes to keep a relationship strong and you can tell that the track was built with this idea in mind. The lyrics are light on the punchlines, but that isn’t necessary in this kind of track because it’s about being straightforward in your approach to potential love.
