The writer of Rihanna’s new single, BBHMM, you can hear why she and Rihanna may have had a creative connection.  About fighting to have your voice heard, the singer/songwriter is seeking to step behind the mic and express her own musicality.  Her vocals are raw and raspy with that hint of island tinge.  The lyrics are strong and self-assured, going well with the energy of the track and the meaning behind it.  The production choice was an odd but poignant one as it goes with the acoustic rock sound instead of the hard rock sound.  Why an electric guitar and full rock band sound wouldn’t have been out of place here, the acoustic guitar playing by itself makes it seem like this is someone who out there alone and screaming to be heard above the noise.  It’s an artistic choice that makes us think that Bourelly has a real future in the industry.
