Lauren Evans has been behind the scenes for a while now, writing songs for Olly Murs, Alexandra Burke and Jordin Sparks.  She even wrote several songs for the NBC soap opera Passions and Brighter Days for the movie The Fighting Temptations.  She now steps out of the shadows in front of the mic for the song FYI.  While we’re not sure if this is a demo for someone else (*cough* Deborah Cox *cough*) or her first solo single, we do know that the upbeat track is infectiously catchy with it’s bouncy production and singable hook.  Evans’ vocals are good, even if they are a little shaky at the beginning.  The lyrics are the star here are the fun track relates her intentions to a potential suitor…her intentions not to go home with him.  A perfect girls’ night track, this could be a hit with the right amount of force behind it.
