Why do we get the feeling that the only track among Rihanna’s recent releases that will end up on the standard version of R8 will be Bitch Better Have My Money?

Released exclusively on JAY Z’s TIDAL (that makes me feel like I’m shouting) but performed as part of her set at the March Madness festival, Rihanna’s new single(?) American Oxygen has the singer in strong vocal form.  Speaking on chasing the promise of the American Dream, including her own climb up the ladder of success, the pop-infused ballad manages to escape the trap that so many patriotic song fall into and that is trying to make the track sound like one of the American standards.  It has it own sound and vibe all its own with a nice tribal/choral overlay that works well with the Bajan’s vocals tones.
