DB2 has been releasing a steady stream of original and remake tracks for the past six months and, while we wait to see if Prototype will be more than just a one-off single, he gives us a somber cover of a more upbeat track by Nico and Vinz.  While the original makes the idea going after someone who might not feel the same as you sound like just another part of life, DB2 takes a more questioning approach to the matter.  The original plays up the idea that the singer(s) think the person in question will tell them what they want to hear but, while DB2 says the same, he doesn’t seem as convinced.  We like that the switch in tone takes the track in a new direction and, aided by his vocals, tugs at our heartstring a little more.
