Ester Dean has written songs for the likes of Rihanna, Beyoncé, Usher, Lil Wayne, and R. Kelly just to name a few.  And while she had a modest hit with the Chris Brown-assisted Drop It Low, she’s never gotten much above underground status thanks to leaks of her demo and remix tracks on the internet.

That may be about to change as she releases her EP, Miss Ester Dean.  Full of original material that showcases the artist herself taking full advantage of her own style.  Some track go deep into RnBass territory while others float in the pop waters, but each has a nice flavor and showcases her strong writing.  While we wish there was a little less autotune (we’ve heard her without it and she doesn’t need it), we enjoyed this smorgasbord of tracks.
