On what start out as a trippy-sounding, acoustic guitar led track, Ro James sings about his lady to take advantage of the perfect moment for loving. By the time the track hits the chorus, there is still that discordant quality to the sound, but the bass and most of the other elements turn into the something that sounds something akin to like Prince. James’ vocals also aid that feeling. While he doesn’t go into the falsetto, his baritone vocals sound like the Royal Purple One’s basement vocals. The sensual tone of the overall track is well done, although it stops abruptly (and not even like he just stops playing, more like something was cut) and takes you out a little.
This is just the latest in a number of demo-style tracks that James has posted over the course of the last year. We are hoping that it all leads to a full project soon.
