It’s been almost a year since Maimouna Youssef gave us The Reintroduction of Mumu Fresh and eight months since she dropped I’m A Woman, so fans can be forgiven for wondering there was anything else on deck from her. Well, they don’t have to wait anymore because she is giving a preview of things to come. Releasing an unfinished track that has a light rock feel to it, the Mumu Fresh speaks on the fear of accepting love. Despite being a work in progress, the track is strong in lyrics, production and vocals and we hope that they don’t overthink it too much and change what is already a good song.
The singer posted that “[this] is an original song I wrote with singer /songwriter Levi Stephens. It’s still a work in progress but I wanted to share a little of what I’m working on these days with my core fans. I envisioned this song being great for a feature film about a complicated love story. I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to leave feedback, again [it’s] a work in progress.”
