Formerly of idol group 2PM, Jay Park struck out on his own to make a name for himself.  While it might seem odd that the 27-year-old would want to leave a pretty lofty position as the head of one of the biggest groups of his time, it makes sense when you realize that the Korean singer is actually Korean-American and he (like a few other artists that will be featured here in the future) had already taken a big chance in making his dreams come true by leaving his country of origin.

This single, Metronone, is from his 2014 comeback album, Evolution.  It’s about a relationship that swings wildly between the good and crazy.  With an infectious chorus and simple, memorable chorus, there’s no wonder that this became one of Park’s biggest singles to date.
