Nine o’clock on Sunday night…do you know where your man is?  Elle Varner might (P.S., he’s not with her).

Over a simplistic beat consisting of primarily of slightly off-key horns, a bassline, and some minimal drums, Varner goes in about not wanting your man because he’s not good enough for her.  The fact that her unique vocals are the backbone of this track is a bold move for Varner; give too much or too little and there would be nothing enjoyable here.  It feels like she should be telling you that she could take your man with the bravado the lyrics are dishing out and makes you wonder why all the singer who said they could take your man never considered why they may not want all of them.
