Newcomer Lamor has dropped two new tracks for our consumption and both are nice.

The first track, Steady, has the singer talking about how much he wants to be with the woman he seems to love, but also seems to be afraid of committing to her completely.  Maybe it’s because the relationship is new or maybe because he has too much temptation around him.  Whatever it is, he’s steady tryna shake it off.  The fact that the title is a play on words adds a little depth to this track.

The second track, Give A Damn, features a stronger production than the first (by Pharomazan) but lyrics that are just as solid.  This time Lamor is singing to a woman that is in a bad relationship who wants to be with.  Like the first track, there is expectation about what this track is about based on the title, but it goes a little to the left for a refreshing sentiment.

Both tracks showcase Lamor’s pleasant vocals and as well as the beginnings of an artist that might be about more than love songs about sex.
