Detroit native D. Brown is letting the object of his affection know that the reason she’s been having a hard time in love is because her lovers come with too much baggage.  While the production has a bit of throwback 80’s feel to it, the star of the show is Brown’s vocals.  He adds the personality that production can feel like it lacks at times, which means he’s not in competition with it.  The harmonies add a lushness that the drum-driven beat needs to sound its best.

Hopefully some attention to this track will mean that he won’t remain Detroit’s best kept secret for long.
