Kehlani is back with two distinctive holiday tracks.  The first, Lonely In December, would fit right in with our Christmas Breakup Songs playlist.  The strangely upbeat track has the singer reminiscing about a lost love who she really wants to get together with for Christmas.  It has the singer reaching out and showing vulnerability in a what that many of her previous tracks have not.  The best part; it could also be considered a love song if you are aching for someone who is far away for the holidays.

 

The second track, What’s It All About, talks about the materialism that seems to take the place of showing real love on Christmas.  This song had a few of us tearing up with its realistic and heartfelt message.  This features her cousin, 13-year-old Marteen Estevez, on the piano (we think).  A lovely song that absolutely gets its point across.
